Marv

I broke my heel bone and another bone in my foot back in April. The doctors have had their hands full trying to save my foot. I have Agent Orange induced Diabetes from Vietnam and experience typical diabetes issues. Before the bone healed completely, I was at the VA in Amarillo, I ran into Jamie there he was in the marines, Arzella's husband. Anyway a pressure sore had developed on the back of the heel, the flesh had degraded all the way to the bone. They were concerned about removing the foot for the second time. Well, I have been going to a wound care center in Lubbock now for about five weeks and the sore, after several skin grafts is healing. I am walking on the foot without a cane for short distances now and I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Having been in the military and seeing combat up close and personal, I encourage everyone to pray for all the troops in harm's way. I go to the vet center in Lubbock and have spoken with several soldiers who have returned. They tell me their biggest problem is driving. They catch themselves looking for likely ambush locations and sometimes have to pull over and stop foor a while. If you see one thank them for their service protecting our freedom.
